What is Radiesse?

Radiesse belongs to the family of injectable dermal fillers used to regain volume and youthful rejuvenation. The target areas for Radiesse usually tend to be delicate parts of the body, such as our neck, decolletage, and our hands. This filler contains naturally occurring minerals, which makes it non-allergenic and tolerable. Finally, like some other fillers, it also stimulates collagen production, leading to longer-lasting effects in comparison to other dermal fillers.

Treating Ozempic Face

The term “Ozempic face” refers to the hollowed-out appearance of the face due to the rapid loss of facial fat and volume. As a result, the face can look sunken and gaunt, with more wrinkles and fine lines. Radiesse can help treat this condition by stimulating collagen production, which helps replenish lost volume and improve facial contours.

Radiesse contains calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA), which acts as a scaffold supporting new collagen growth over time.

Let’s Get Started

What’s the first step?

The first step in getting a Radiesse Treatment in Houston is to contact our office and schedule a consultation with board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Erika Sato. This is the right time to ask any questions you may have about the treatment. She will also examine your target areas, detailing the treatment technique, any risks and benefits, and the recovery timeline to help manage your expectations.

Once you agree that a Radiesse treatment is the best way to achieve your goals, Dr. Sato will create a treatment plan for you. Our patient care coordinator will help you schedule the treatment and provide pricing options.

What to Expect on the Day of Radiesse Treatment

On the day of your Radiesse treatment, Dr. Sato and her staff will welcome you to the state-of-the-art practice, get you settled in the treatment room, and review your treatment plan in case of any last-minute adjustments.

Once a topical analgesic has been applied, Dr. Sato will inject the Radiesse into the target areas using an ultrafine needle. She will also massage the filler to help distribute it and achieve your optimum contour goals.

Depending on the size of the target area, this procedure will take ten minutes to half an hour without complications (topical numbing cream will be in place 30-45 minutes, so the entire treatment will take 60-75 minutes).

Radiesse Recovery

Radiesse treatment is painless, and patients can resume normal activities immediately afterward. Some might experience mild swelling, redness, and bruising, which is reported to resolve within a few days.

We recommend patients avoid exposure to sunlight for the first week.
