Who Is a Good Candidate for Dysport® Injections?
If you are under 65 years of age and seeking improvement in the look of wrinkles between your eyebrows, then you may be a good candidate for Dysport®.
During your consultation, Dr. Sato will evaluate your medical history and examine your skin to determine if Dysport® is right for you. She will also ask you about your cosmetic goals and walk you through the details of the procedure.
What Happens During Dysport® Treatment?
At the start of the Dysport® skin-rejuvenation procedure, the treatment areas are carefully marked. These marks serve as a guide for injection and allow for greater accuracy.
Using a very fine needle, Dr. Sato will place a series of tiny Dysport® injections into the designated muscles of your face that are causing the unwanted lines and wrinkles. There may be mild discomfort or a stinging sensation during the injections, but rest assured that Dysport® is very safe.
The treatment takes only a few minutes and requires no anesthetic. Recovery is immediate and there is no downtime, allowing you to return to work with no restrictions that same day. Because of this, it is considered a lunchtime procedure.
What can I expect while recovering from Dysport® treatment?
Immediately following Dysport® treatment, some patients may experience minor bruising at one or more of the injection sites. Refrain from strenuous activities such as cardio workouts for 24 hours after the injection.
Results are apparent as soon as 24 hours after the treatment and continue to improve for up to 10 days. The effects of Dysport® typically last up to 4 months. After this, patients are able to come in for follow-up treatments to maintain the injectable’s results.
