Who is a good candidate for Renuvion treatment?
Most healthy adults are potential candidates for the Renuvion. Dr. Sato will examine you and review your medical history in order to determine whether Renuvion treatment is right for you.
What happens during Renuvion treatment?
Small incisions are made (~5mm in length) in the skin in order to access the subcutaneous plane. A liposuction cannula is first used to “free up” a working space beneath the skin for the Renuvion. The Renuvion is then placed under the skin creating multiple passes in the area being treated. The amount of time needed for the Renuvion portion of the procedure varies on the surface area to be treated. For example, on average, it takes ~45 minutes to treat the abdomen after the liposuction portion is completed.
What can I expect while recovering from Renuvion treatment?
After Renuvion treatment, you can expect your skin in the area treated to swell slightly with bruising. This typically lasts 7-10 days. You will see skin tightening almost immediate with ongoing changes for 6-9 months.

Are the results of Renuvion treatment permanent?
Renuvion treatment is a one-time treatment and the results are considered permanent. Your skin will continue to age over time with ongoing loss of elastin and collagen and therefore your skin in the area treated will regain laxity or become loose or sagging over the years to follow the treatment. Lifestyle changes such as pregnancy, weight gain and/or weight loss and nicotine use can also lead to increased laxity or sagging of the skin in the areas treated. To sustain the results of the Renuvion treatment practice good lifestyle habits such as the daily use of sunscreen, regular diet and exercise and avoid nicotine use and excessive alcohol intake.
